Saba Ali:
sooo....all of the outfits are adorable and different, and deciding was def not easy :) maryam noor looks fabulous in all of them mA. but.... my pick is outfit B!!
i LOVE the ruffles, the detail on the sleeve edge, and the portion of the ruffle that falls below the hem of the shirt. The fitting is perfect. Also like the fact that it's blue, not the typical girly color (although i do like the pink shade of outfit C). The capri-ish pants with elastic hem are a brilliant choice for a baby, on whom pants tend to ride up!! i think for an infant of her age, who is just barely sitting, pants are a clean and practical choice, because everything stays in place. Overall it's fresh, atypical, and modern.
I do want to point out what i love about the other two dresses, however:
A: the chinese fabric, detailed piping, and colors.
C: the shade of pink, polka dot hem, and single button!
AWESOME JOB LADIES! i'm in awe of all of you :)
Aaesha Ali:
Sorry it took me a while! I couldn't do this on my phone so I had to get my act together and do it the old-fashioned way.
They are all amazing!!! BUT I chose "B" to be the winner from my end.
Nice summary, Saba. You took everything I was thinking and captured it perfectly. Seriously, though, GREAT job by all the designers!!
Mehwish Rydhan Jalal:
Mashallah such creativity from all the contestants! But there is a definite flare to Entry B. The angle at which the frills fall would flatter the body type of any mini model ;) The color combination and pattern is quite mod. The outfit can be casual for a stroll in the park and dressed up with a bow (as shown) for a night out. Good attention to detail in regards to the stitching.
Farhana Baig:
I am so amazed at the quality of each of these gorgeous outfits. i would absolutely buy all of them when shopping for my little baby fashionista!!
Entry C is something i could see on so many little sweet peas! The bright choice of colors, to the sweet details of the offset button just makes it so playful and fun!I love the retro feel of it while still keeping it very modern.
Entry B is just too cute for words!! i would love to see this on any little future diva!! I love that it is seperates that can be worn with other pieces in her wardrobe. The adorable skinny capris are something that are a good basic in any fashion forward girls closet!! THe top is the most beautiful well made piece of the bunch. The asymmetry of the ruffles is a wonderful detail. The finishing of this piece sets it apart from the rest!!
Entry A is something i would want in my own closet!! obviously much bigger :) It is definitely a more sophisticated color choice, perfect for a more special occasion. I think the fit is a little big for the tiny model, but probably is needed for the dress to fall as it is supposed to . I love the cap sleeves and the details in the asian inspired closures. The styling of this outfit is the best of all three. The hair accessories and the shoes make the entire look a success.
I am so excited to see what you all do each week. I had no idea i knew people that had this kind of talent!! You are all very skilled! MA
If i had to choose, I think entry B is the most impressive this week. happy sewing ;)
Marjan Mojo:
Salaam all,
Well ladies you started off this competition with a bang! All three outfits were quite impressive, a hard decision indeed.
I based my decision on:
Colors
Difficulty
Fit
Creativity
Originality
My vote goes to outfit B. Blue ruffled top with khaki capris :)
The blue was bold and complimented Maryam's skin tone. The ruffles were intricate and detailed. The fit was perfect against her little legs :) And finally, the baby-doll style top with elastic capris was creative and original.
I would like to give props to the other two outfits... Maryam is one lucky girl mA :)
The pink dress is perfect for a day at the park. The side button and polka-dot hem made the outfit pop!
The Chinese dress was a little bit more formal and fancy. Maryam can wear it on a night out on the town :) The color combination of black and white was classic!
